Chief Legal Officer

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and commercially minded legal professional to become a trusted partner to the Founder and leadership team.

This role combines strategic legal oversight with hands-on execution across international legal matters, regulatory projects, corporate governance, and operational legal processes. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the legal foundation that enables the company to scale globally while staying compliant across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage legal documentation across the group of companies.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain commercial agreements, NDAs, service agreements, partnership contracts, and corporate documentation.
• Support international corporate structuring and governance initiatives.
• Coordinate and drive complex regulatory projects, including licensing and regulatory applications.
• Prepare, organize, review, and maintain large-scale documentation packages for regulators and external stakeholders.
• Partner closely with founders and executives on strategic legal and operational matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure proper documentation and legal support throughout the company's client lifecycle.
• Establish and improve legal processes, document management, and internal controls.

Ideal Background

• 3+ years of legal experience, preferably within SaaS, IT, fintech, payments, financial services, banking, or regulated technology businesses.
• Experience working within international corporate groups.
• Strong drafting and contract negotiation skills.
• Hands-on experience supporting regulatory and licensing projects.
• Familiarity with FCA, EMI, PI, payments, banking, or other financial regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work through complex documentation with precision.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced startup and scale-up environments.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution and ownership.
