We are looking for a Go Team Lead to manage a backend engineering team, support its professional growth, and contribute to the development of a large-scale educational platform.

About the Project

An international educational platform designed to make learning more accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for children.

You will join a growing engineering organization and lead a backend team responsible for developing and maintaining scalable platform services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a backend engineering team of 6 developers, including Senior and Middle-level engineers.
• Organize the team's work, support effective collaboration, and ensure delivery of project goals.
• Participate in the hiring process, conduct technical and managerial interviews, and onboard new employees.
• Motivate team members and support their professional development.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate with customers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and align expectations.
• Participate in task prioritization, planning, and coordination with other teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and team performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• 7+ years of commercial development experience with Go.
• Experience managing backend development teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, and people-management skills.
• Experience with hiring, onboarding, and motivating team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and business stakeholders.
• Conversational English at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.

Would Be a Plus

• Experience working in EdTech or other high-load digital platforms.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Kafka.
• Experience working in an international or geographically distributed team.
• Experience developing products for a large user base.
